Hours after Prince Edward Rukidi Kijanangoma was announced as the next Omukama of Tooro, the late King Oyo’s family has rejected the outcome, insisting that his will provided a clear line of succession and that further consultations were still underway.

Prince Edward Rukidi Kijanangoma has been named the next King of Tooro following the passing of Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV.
