Engineer Stephen Kaweesa has announced his defection from the National Unity Platform (NUP) to the National Resistance Movement (NRM), alleging he invested billions of shillings in the opposition party but was later abandoned despite his sacrifices.

Nansana Municipality MP-elect Zambali Mukasa says engineer Stephen Kaweesa should be arrested after alleging he paid Shs600 million for a NUP parliamentary ticket that he never received.
