• Musician Green Daddy mourns his newborn, citing negligence at Mulago Hospital.
  • He admits performing for political campaigns for money but now faces the harsh reality of underfunded hospitals.
  • Social media users have expressed condolences while criticizing the systemic lack of medical care.

Musician Green Daddy is grieving deeply following the death of his newly born baby. Taking to social media, the singer shared a heart-wrenching video from Mulago Hospital, visibly heartbroken and in pain.

In the video, Green Daddy blamed hospital staff for negligence, revealing that after the birth, there was no one available to provide the necessary care for his child. He even filmed other patients seated on the floor, criticizing the hospital staff for the lack of attention and support.

Green Daddy admitted that the tragedy has made him confront a harsh reality. He recently performed at President Museveni’s re-election campaigns, joining other musicians to entertain crowds and earn money. Social media users have since reminded him that while he earned from these performances, public hospitals, including Mulago, remain under-resourced and lacking essential drugs.

The singer reflected on this bitter irony, stating:

“I performed at the campaigns because I needed the money, and yes, I was paid—but now reality has hit me hard. No money can bring back my child, and our hospitals still lack the basic care everyone deserves.”

Despite criticism from social media, many users have also expressed condolences, reminding him that sometimes even the best medical care cannot save a life.
