• Mr. Henrie says Galaxy FM is a talent powerhouse that prepares presenters for bigger opportunities, not a struggling station.
  • He believes presenter exits prove the brand’s strength and value within Uganda’s media industry.
  • Galaxy FM’s legacy, according to him, is built on grooming stars and creating space for new talent to rise.

Lately, there’s been a noticeable wave of media personalities switching stations, and the public can’t help but wonder what’s driving the trend. One of the stations hit hardest in this wave is Galaxy FM, known for its mix of entertainment, celebrity gossip, and national news.

In recent months, the station has seen big names like Mr. Henrie, Prim Asiimwe, and Evelyn MIC move to NRG Radio while Alfa Tymz joined Next Media. These presenters command huge audiences, and one would think that their departure could greatly affect their former employer business-wise.

Speaking to the TUBTS (The Ugandan Boy Talk Show) podcast hosted by Bonny Kibuuka, Mr. Henrie offered some insight into why so many have left Galaxy FM. He was quick to clarify that it’s not because the station is weak but rather believes people have left because “the brand” has done it’s job for them.

“Galaxy is a brand that nurtures and grooms talent until it reaches a point of commanding exceptional value.” – Mr. Henrie. He describes the station as a place that invests in identifying raw talent and heritage so strong that even industry giants can’t resist picking it up.

According to him, Galaxy FM is more than a workplace. It’s a launchpad whose legacy is built on producing stars and will remain relevant even when familiar voices move on. “Our departures don’t weaken the brand. They reinforce it’s strength by proving just how valuable we are and create room for new young talent,” says Mr. Henrie.

People don’t leave @galaxyfmug because it’s weak — they leave because it worked.” @MrHenrie breaks it down perfectly: Galaxy was built bigger than individual names. The brand invested in identity, culture, and pedigree so strong that even when giants like @mrhenrie, @evelyn_mic_, @primasiimwe, and @alfatymz75 move on, the influence remains. That’s the real mark of a talent powerhouse — you groom stars, and eventually the world comes calling. And when they leave on good terms, encouraged to chase bigger dreams, it’s not a loss… it’s a legacy. Galaxy doesn’t lose people. Galaxy produces them. #GalaxyBrand #TalentDevelopment #MediaIndustry #CareerGrowth #BrandLegacy Presenters EntertainmentIndustry SuccessStory MentorshipMatters RadioBroadcasting
