A new beef has erupted in the Ugandan music industry, this time between A Pass and Eddy Kenzo.

Apparently, the fallout stems from a fan comment and the recently passed copyright bill. A fan took to X and told Eddy Kenzo that he could never be more intelligent than A Pass, which sparked a response from the Big Talent boss that has since escalated tensions between the two artists.

A Pass has called upon the UNMF president to have the matter to be settled musically. He challenged Kenzo to either hit the studio and release music or face him in a live music battle. However, even before Kenzo could respond, A Pass went further to brand him an “unworthy opponent.”

Despite Eddy Kenzo being one of Uganda’s most internationally decorated artists, A Pass dismissed his achievements, rubbishing his CV and calling it “invalid” in this context.

“There is no need to talk about who is rich or who is richer. If you have a problem with me as an artist, it’s best to settle it musically. Go to studio and get busy, release the music and promote it like everyone else.”

“If you think you’re better, the only option is a versus or a battle live on stage, and I don’t think you are a worthy opponent.
No amount of awards will save you; that CV is invalid.”

The two artists have previously appeared to be on good terms, making this fallout surprising to many fans. However, as seen in the past, politics continues to influence the music industry. A Pass is known to support Bobi Wine, while Eddy Kenzo has been associated with President Yoweri Museveni. Fans believe this political divide could also be playing a role in the ongoing tension.
