  • Jowy Landa responded by saying she still looks fresh and remains relevant in the music industry.
  • The singer also called herself a legend and advised Kapeke to appreciate his recent success instead of attacking others.

Singer Kapeke recently sparked debate during an appearance on Galaxy TV after taking shots at fellow singer Jowy Landa over her age.

Kapeke claimed that Jowy Landa is “too old,” revealing that when she released her first song, he was only 15 years old and still in Senior One.

However, Jowy Landa did not stay silent. In response, she has admitted she is older but proudly defended herself, saying age has never stopped her from looking good and staying relevant in the music industry.

“I may be old but I still look fresh. Kapeke who says he is young looks 45 years old,” she fired back, adding that he should first look in the mirror before criticizing other people’s age.

Jowy also noted that Kapeke’s recent musical success should not make him feel superior because he has been in the industry for years without a breakthrough.

According to her, now that God has finally blessed him with hit songs, he should focus on appreciating that success instead of attacking others.

She further explained that being called “old” does not offend her at all because, to her, it simply proves she is a legend who has managed to stay active, relevant, and capable of producing good music over the years.

“Growth is a blessing and that doesn’t even bother me. It simply means that we inspire such people and I am a legend,” says Jowy Landa.
