Western Uganda singer Omega 256 has opened up about her past misunderstandings with fellow musician Ray G, saying the alleged feud between them was largely fueled by fans rather than personal hatred.

The “This Year” singer made the remarks while speaking in an interview where she was asked about Ray G’s surprise appearance at her concert held at Lugogo Cricket Oval last year. Their performance together caught many fans off guard because the two artists had for years been rumored to be at odds despite being among the biggest music stars from Western Uganda.
According to Omega 256, Ray G’s appearance at her concert was not necessarily a sign that they had suddenly become close friends again. She explained that she has supported him at several of his concerts over the years without charging him, and therefore she also expects the same support in return whenever she calls upon him.
“I have performed at many of Ray G’s concerts for free, so I also demand many concerts from him. Whether we are friends or not, that support is expected.”

The singer added that people exaggerated the misunderstandings between them, insisting that fans played a huge role in creating tension where none really existed.
“The feud was mostly created by fans. It was never as serious as people made it look.”
Omega 256 also weighed in on the ongoing tensions between female singers Sheebah Karungi and Spice Diana. She said both women are mature enough to handle their disagreements without outside interference.
Away from the drama, the singer revealed that she is preparing to release a new EP titled Baliki. She said the project reflects her personal journey and growth over the years, adding that she cannot wait for fans to finally listen to it.
