Former Miss Uganda Stellah Nantumbwe, popularly known as Ellah, has found herself at the center of fresh controversy after Senior Presidential Advisor and Head of the State House Investors Protection Unit, Col. Edith Nakalema, publicly urged her to return property allegedly belonging to her former husband.

Ellah’s marriage, which was largely kept away from the public eye, attracted attention after reports emerged weeks ago suggesting that the union had come to an abrupt end. Since then, the former beauty queen and actress has remained tight-lipped, consistently maintaining that her private life should not be subjected to public scrutiny.
However, speaking about the matter, Col. Nakalema expressed disappointment over allegations that Ellah and her mother were involved in taking property belonging to the man following the separation.
“It is unfortunate that a respected woman of her stature can be linked to such allegations. She should do the right thing and return what does not belong to her,” Nakalema reportedly said.

Drawing from Christian teachings, Nakalema urged Ellah to embrace values of honesty and reconciliation rather than actions that could further fuel conflict.
“If there is still a chance for reconciliation in the future, let there be peace. If not, then the properties should be returned so that everyone can move on with a clear conscience,” she added.
Nakalema also appealed to Ellah’s mother to guide her daughter towards what she described as the right course of action, noting that integrity and accountability become even more important with age.
The remarks have surprised many Ugandans who have followed Ellah’s public journey over the years. In recent times, the former beauty queen has openly shared her Christian faith and was even seen participating in street preaching activities.
Neither Ellah nor her family had publicly responded to Nakalema’s claims by the time of publication. The allegations remain unverified, and details regarding the disputed property have not been publicly disclosed.
