Mukono Municipality Member of Parliament Hon. Betty Nambooze has shared her thoughts on what she believes many women find attractive in men, saying fame, uniforms and the ability to drive often leave a strong impression.

Speaking in a recent interview, the outspoken legislator said women are naturally drawn to men who are well-known, wear uniforms or confidently drive themselves, regardless of the type of vehicle.

“Women are impressed by a man who’s famous, in uniform and one who drives,” she said.

Nambooze pointed to the admiration often shown toward soldiers and police officers as an example, suggesting that their uniforms contribute to their appeal.

She further joked that the make or value of a vehicle is not what matters to many women.

“Even if it’s a funeral service car, she’ll sit in front and feel like she’s on top of this world,” she said with a laugh.

Reflecting on her own experience, Nambooze revealed that she used to enjoy riding in her husband’s tractor, saying it made her feel incredibly proud.

“My husband was also a footballer and I loved him so much,” she added, explaining that fame has always been an attractive quality for many women.

According to Nambooze, this preference is not unique to Africa, arguing that women across the world are often drawn to men who have status, recognition or public appeal.
