“The world excuses men a lot compared to women. So I learnt that small things on a woman can actually affect her so much,” she said, adding that the world is unfair to women.

She noted that corruption and the misuse of influence are common realities in society, making it difficult for people who choose to stick to ethical principles.

“It becomes tricky when all you want to discuss is business while others are willing to sell their soul,” she said.

Cindy revealed that opportunities that could have come within weeks often took months because she refused to compromise her self-respect for quicker success.

Despite the delays and frustrations, she believes staying true to her values has been worth it.

“When I sit in my seat I adjust into it properly because I’ve not used any form of shortcut to achieve it,” she said.
