Musician Gloria Bugie has reflected on her recent public clash with fellow singer and TV presenter Crysto Panda, insisting that she had no regrets about defending herself after what she described as a series of personal attacks.

The feud between the two entertainers recently escalated from comments about Bugie’s body, including remarks surrounding her alleged BBL, to attacks on their music careers and personal lives. The exchange became particularly controversial after Bugie appeared to reference Panda’s painful family losses, including the deaths of his parents and child.

Speaking to Mr Henrie, Bugie suggested that Panda came looking for a reaction and she was ready to give him one.

Bugie also responded to criticism of her music, particularly comments comparing her singing to that of a “success card.”

“If someone does not have a success card, I believe the person is an artist, right? I bet they can sing like I sang here,” she said.

She went on to explain what she described as her distinctive vocal style.

“My voice is called a coastal voice, like that high-pitched voice. It’s meant to be high,” Bugie explained, before dismissing those who criticise her vocals as having limited musical knowledge.

“I take that as an ignorance,” she added.

The singer’s comments come after the feud attracted intervention from fellow musicians, with Sheebah Karungi publicly defending Panda and condemning the use of his personal grief in the dispute. Sheebah argued that no disagreement should descend into using someone’s greatest losses as ammunition.

Bugie subsequently pushed back at Sheebah, saying she expected a fair assessment and arguing that Panda had also subjected her to personal attacks involving her body, career and family.

Additionally, Cindy Sanyu later offered a different perspective, describing the confrontation as a “fair fight” while acknowledging that Bugie crossed a line by bringing Panda’s family losses into the argument.

For Bugie, however, the episode appears to have reinforced her willingness to answer critics on her own terms.

“I take that as an ignorance,” she maintained.
