Veteran singer and media personality Sherry Matovu has shared the secret behind her youthful appearance, saying happiness and peace of mind have transformed her life since finding love again.

Speaking during an interview on Sanyuka TV alongside her husband, Salongo Siraje, Sherry said she now lives a stress-free life, which she believes has greatly improved both her health and appearance.

Jokingly, she remarked that she now gets all the “necessary vitamins” she needs from her husband, adding that she no longer has to look elsewhere because she is fully satisfied in her marriage.

The singer contrasted her current life with the difficult period during her previous marriage to Taddeus Katumba, saying the stress she experienced at the time made her look much older than she actually was.

“These days I am happy, relaxed and at peace,” she said, attributing her glow to the positive changes in her personal life.

During the interview, Sherry was also asked whether she informed her husband about her belief in traditional practices before they got married.

She revealed that the two first met on a plane and that Siraje did not even know she was a public figure at the time.

Sharing his side of the story, Salongo Siraje said Sherry was open about her beliefs from the beginning of their relationship. Although he is a Muslim, he said he respected her honesty and took time to understand her perspective before they both agreed they were compatible.

Siraje was also asked whether his family approved of the relationship, considering Sherry’s past marriage, children and beliefs.

He responded that while family opinions are important, he is a mature adult capable of making his own decisions. According to him, he and Sherry made the choice to be together because they believed they were right for each other, and they are now enjoying a happy marriage.
