The exchange follows Nameere’s recent comments in which she dismissed Nakazibwe’s remarks over her ongoing legal dispute with Masaka coffee supplier Cissy Nanyange. Nameere had said she had no interest in responding to Nakazibwe, adding that “men have done her enough damage” and that she was already “facing karma.”

Responding in a lengthy post on X, Nakazibwe described Nameere’s recent media appearances as “a media tour of lies” and challenged her to publicly share the court ruling she has repeatedly referenced.

“When you are a public figure, you are accountable to yourself, your audience, the public you serve, family, and more,” Nakazibwe wrote. “You can’t continue maliciously damaging others while you portray yourself as a hero.”

Nakazibwe also claimed the voice note she released dates back to December 2021 and alleged it captures Nameere, who was the plaintiff in the defamation case, pleading with her to disregard the court process.

“As for me, this is an audio of a Plaintiff pleading to a Defendant to ignore the court process of her own defamation case,” she wrote, adding that after the call failed to produce the outcome Nameere wanted, she allegedly “ran to media with all sorts of falsehoods.”

She further alleged that although Nameere now insists she pursued the case to its conclusion, she failed to attend court proceedings.

“Since you are back and are insisting that you saw your case through to the end, I can confirm that you were a no-show at all, dear Plaintiff,” Nakazibwe said.

The former NTV news anchor also claimed she possesses another audio recording relating to investigators’ requests for Nameere to surrender her electronic devices for forensic examination, but said she would not release it for now.

The renewed public exchange stems from Nameere’s recent defamation dispute with Masaka-based coffee supplier Cissy Nanyange, who accused her of failing to pay for coffee seedlings supplied during the election campaign period.
