Dax Vibez has finally broken his silence on his absence from Vinka’s recent concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval, clarifying that he did not snub the singer for political reasons but was unable to attend due to a personal matter.

The singer revealed that he and Vinka had rehearsed together ahead of the show and that he was expected to be part of the concert. However, something came up that required his attention, making it impossible for him to physically attend.

“No one refused me to be there for her, I wasn’t able to physically attend the show in person,” Dax Vibez explained.

According to him, he communicated with Vinka on WhatsApp and explained why he could not make it. He added that members of Vinka’s team also reached out to him, and they discussed the situation, ultimately clearing the air between them.

He emphasized that they are currently in a good place despite his absence from the concert.

Addressing the controversy surrounding the show, particularly reports that some NUP supporters boycotted the concert, Dax Vibes said he understands where they were coming from because he is also a supporter of the National Unity Platform.

“As a NUP supporter myself, I don’t brush away their feelings because there’s a lot happening in the country,” he said.

However, Dax stressed that people have different reasons for the decisions they make, including his own, which he said are guided by an independent mind.

“Everyone has a right to their own thoughts and we have to respect it,” he said.

He added that both those who attended Vinka’s concert and those who chose not to attend had their own reasons, and those choices should be respected.
