Shakib Cham has opened up about struggling with social anxiety, explaining why his mood appeared low while celebrating his wife, Zari Hassan, during her recent 46th birthday celebrations.

According to Shakib, being around large groups of people makes him uncomfortable, although he is actively working on becoming better at handling such situations.
“I become uncomfortable when I’m around so many people and I’m actively trying to work upon it, but this time I tried,” he confessed.
The businessman described himself as a very introverted person who enjoys spending time in his own space. He revealed that he sometimes retreats to the bedroom or even leaves home whenever Zari has visitors because he prefers being by himself.

“I respect everyone and greet each of them, then get back to my things,” he said.
However, Shakib clarified that his reserved nature does not mean he is always quiet or withdrawn. He explained that he becomes a completely different person when surrounded by people he knows well and shares a connection with.
“When you find me around such people, I am so loud, talkative and happy because we understand each other,” he said.
