Bruno K has hit back at people who accuse him of using his social media platforms to create a facade of charity while allegedly keeping the money collected from his followers, describing such critics as “shallow-minded.”

Speaking to Spark TV, the singer explained that whenever he shares fundraising posters, the numbers provided are always meant for the people in need and not for his personal benefit.

He recalled helping raise money for Pastor Wilson Bugembe’s church and said that after the fundraising, Bugembe asked him how much he wanted from the money collected.

“I told him, ‘I don’t need anything, Pastor. You can take all the money.’”

Bruno K said he has instead received blessings from helping people, which he considers sufficient reward for his efforts.

“I have a rich heart and I can’t start taking things that belong to the people in need,” he said.

He described his charity work as a form of community responsibility and urged fellow celebrities and influencers to use their platforms to make a positive impact.

According to Bruno K, having a large following means little if celebrities cannot use their influence to give back to the same audiences that support them.
