Sheebah Karungi has opened up about the harsh judgment artists face, saying they are often treated inhumanly for doing things that are considered normal for everyone else.

Speaking on The Let’s Talk About It podcast, Sheebah reflected on the criticism she received after giving birth to a child with a man who already had two other children.

Sheebah said she was judged as though she had done something unusual, yet having half-siblings is common in many Ugandan families.

“If you make research across most families in Uganda, there’s a child that came when older than the rest,” she explained, adding that people are quick to judge before knowing the full story or the truth behind a situation.

She also noted that many Ugandan families have half-siblings who are living perfectly fine, but because she is a public figure, her situation was treated differently.

“Most Ugandan families have half siblings and they’re doing just fine. But when I gave birth with someone who already had children, one would think I was the first person to ever do it in the whole of Africa just because I’m Sheebah,” she said.
