Kadongo Kamu singer Kazibwe Kapo has challenged women who have children they believe were fathered by him to bring them forward while he is still alive so that the matter can be settled through DNA testing.

Speaking in an interview with Spark TV, Kazibwe said he would rather have such claims addressed now than have people wait until his death before presenting children to his family.
The singer said his comments were partly prompted by the controversy that followed the death and burial of legendary Afrigo Band singer Moses Matovu, when a young man came forward claiming to be Matovu’s son.
The claim reportedly created tension during an already difficult period for Matovu’s family, raising questions about why such matters are sometimes brought up only after a celebrity has died.

Kazibwe said families should be given an opportunity to establish the truth while the alleged father is still alive.
“I don’t expect to die first and then these women bring the children. Bring them while I am still alive and let us do the DNA.”
He argued that there should be no reason for someone to wait for decades before introducing a child to their alleged father and his family.
Speaking about Matovu’s case, Kazibwe said that the singer lived to an advanced age of about 77 and had children who were already in their 40s and 50s, meaning there was ample opportunity for family matters to be addressed while he was alive.
“If you have my child, bring that child to me. Let us establish the truth while I am still alive.”
Kazibwe also dismissed claims that musicians routinely sleep with everyone, describing such statements as ignorant generalisations about entertainers and their lifestyles.
