Ugandan musician Alexander Bagonza, popularly known as A Pass, has once again spoken about his highly anticipated concert, revealing that he is still undecided about whether Kololo Ceremonial Grounds will host the event.

The “Dididada” singer had previously expressed his desire to join the list of Ugandan musicians who have staged memorable concerts at the iconic Kololo grounds. However, speaking during a TikTok Live, A Pass admitted that he has concerns about the uncertainty surrounding the venue.

According to the singer, the biggest challenge with Kololo is that it is government-owned land, meaning plans for concerts can sometimes be disrupted by national activities.

“The problem with Kololo is the uncertainty. You can plan your concert there, then they tell you the grounds are going to be used for national duties.”

A Pass said he is therefore still considering whether Kololo is the right venue or whether he should look for an alternative location that can guarantee more certainty for the event.

He explained that he wants a venue that is open and spacious enough to accommodate the expected crowd, pointing to major stadiums such as Namboole Stadium and Nakivubo Hamz Stadium as possible options.

“I’m looking for a place that is open and very big.”

The singer also mentioned Wankulukuku Stadium as another possibility, while jokingly reacting to fans who suggested Makerere Freedom Square.

For now, A Pass has not confirmed the final venue for the concert. He said he is still weighing his options and promised to keep fans updated as plans continue.

The uncertainty over Kololo comes as several Ugandan musicians have increasingly viewed the grounds as a prestigious destination for major concerts.

For A Pass, however, having the right space — and certainty that the event can proceed — appears to be more important than simply joining that list.
