Popular Ugandan TikToker and influencer, Anthony Katongole, commonly known as Chicken Chicken, has broken his silence on warnings from Minister Balaam Barugahara regarding the use of his child in online content.

The minister recently issued a statement cautioning TikTokers including Chicken Chicken, Uncle Chumi and others against involving children in TikTok videos for content creation as he described it as child exploitation.
The controversy followed a viral video in which Chicken Chicken appeared forcing his daughter to kneel as a sign of respect. However, he defended his actions, explaining that he was not humiliating the child but teaching her cultural values.
“I am from Buganda and as a Muganda, we kneel down when greeting people. I was basically teaching my daughter manners,” he explained.

Chicken Chicken also insisted that he has no plans of stopping posting his child online, arguing that he remains fully responsible for her upbringing and welfare.
He went on to say that the only way he would stop featuring his daughter in content is if the minister personally takes over responsibilities such as school fees, clothing, medical bills and other necessities.
“But if I’m still responsible for all those things, then I will post my child and raise her as I please,” he said.
The TikToker further questioned why he appeared to be singled out yet many other parents on TikTok involve their children in what he described as even more inappropriate content.
