Sam Bagenda, popularly known as Dr. Bbosa and director of the acting group The Ebonies, has dismissed rumors alleging that troupe member and influencer Evelyn Namulondo left the group and got married in the United States.

Responding to a journalist who questioned Namulondo’s prolonged stay abroad, Dr. Bbosa said the claims were unfounded and that this was the first time he was hearing about them.

“Two months is not a long time. We are in constant communication, and she is still doing the group’s work even while abroad,” he added.
According to Dr. Bbosa, Namulondo continues to manage the troupe’s public relations responsibilities remotely, maintaining active involvement in their operations.
He also addressed reports about another member, Vicky, confirming that she relocated to Canada. He noted that her decision was driven by family priorities.
Dr. Bbosa described The Ebonies as a family that continually nurtures new talent. He reflected on the group’s evolution, citing veterans like Jimmy Katumba who were part of earlier generations, adding that new actors will always emerge to carry the legacy forward.
He further noted that even longtime member Nakawunde often reunites with the troupe whenever she returns to Uganda to participate in productions.
Dr. Bbosa urged fans to treat social media reports cautiously and verify information through official channels before spreading unconfirmed claims.
