Ugandan singer King Michael has opened up about a shocking experience with paternity fraud, revealing that he once underwent a DNA test after a woman insisted he had fathered her child, only for the results to prove otherwise.

The revelation came during an interview hosted by Shalom Kaweesi, alongside fellow musicians Spice Diana and Big Eye StarBoss. The discussion followed renewed public debate about DNA testing after recent claims involving the late singer Paul Job Kafeero, whose children were reportedly subjected to paternity tests.

King Michael narrated that the incident happened at Calendar Restaurant in Makindye, where a woman approached him in public with a young boy, insisting he was the child’s father. She pointed to the boy’s physical features, including his hands, feet, and facial appearance, claiming they closely resembled the singer’s.

 “She kept insisting the boy had my hands, my feet and looked exactly like me. She was convinced he was my son,” King Michael recalled.

As the confrontation unfolded, veteran singer Mesach Semakula intervened and calmed the situation. According to King Michael, Semakula advised him not to dismiss the woman’s claims outright but instead resolve the matter through a scientific paternity test.

 “Mesach told me never to deny blood that could be mine and advised that we carry out a DNA test. If the child was mine, I would take responsibility, and if not, the matter would end there,” he said.

King Michael said the DNA test was eventually conducted, and the results confirmed that the child was not biologically his.

His revelation adds to a growing list of Ugandan musicians who have publicly spoken about paternity disputes and DNA testing. Veteran singer Mathias Walukagga has also previously shared similar experiences after children alleged to be his were subjected to DNA tests.
