Media personality Florence Nampijja has urged young women to stop succumbing to societal pressure surrounding marriage, emphasizing that there is no age limit when it comes to finding a life partner.

Speaking on the Bigenda Bitya show aired on Sanyuka TV about relationships and marriage, Nampijja encouraged women to remain patient and avoid forcing situations simply because they feel time is running out.
“Relax, marriage has no age limit. If it’s not happening when you expect it, don’t force it,” she said.
According to Nampijja, she has witnessed many people successfully get married later in life, proving that marriage does not have to happen within a specific timeline. However, she acknowledged that there are unique experiences that come with building a relationship as a young couple and growing together through life’s stages.

Despite this, she stressed that rushing into marriage out of fear or pressure can lead to long-term consequences.
She also addressed concerns about women’s biological clock, noting that while it is true that women face time-sensitive realities when it comes to starting families, this should never be the sole reason for settling into an unhealthy or unsuitable relationship.
“Don’t make a mistake, because I understand you’re running out of time. But what happens when you get pregnant and he leaves you because everything was forced?” she asked.
Nampijja warned that many women end up becoming single mothers after entering relationships or marriages that were built on pressure rather than genuine compatibility and commitment.
