The race to crown Uganda’s next beauty queen has officially begun following the launch of the Road to the Crown 2026 by the Miss Uganda Foundation, marking the start of a nationwide search for the successor to reigning queen Trivia Elle Muhoza.

The glamorous launch event was held at the Oppein Experience Room in Kampala on June 17, attracting beauty queens, corporate partners, media personalities, and cultural influencers for an evening that celebrated style, purpose, and women’s empowerment. This year’s edition runs under the theme Beauty with a Purpose, a philosophy that continues to define the Miss Uganda brand 15 years after its revival.
Miss Uganda 2025 Trivia Elle Muhoza, alongside first runner-up Agatha Drakes Keine and second runner-up Gloria Katushabe, graced the event, expressing gratitude to sponsors and partners who have supported them throughout their reign. Muhoza reaffirmed her readiness for the global stage, crediting the strong support system behind the pageant.
Corporate partners, including V&A Sherry, renewed their commitment to the initiative. Roy Ronald Tumwizere, Brand Manager for V&A Sherry at Uganda Breweries Limited, praised the platform for nurturing confident young women and shaping them into future leaders and change-makers.

Speaking at the launch, Miss Uganda CEO Brenda Nanyonjo emphasized that the pageant goes beyond beauty, describing it as a transformative platform aimed at empowering young women to become ambassadors of positive change in society.

As the organisation marks 15 years, regional auditions are set to begin on July 2 in Eastern Uganda, before moving to West Nile, Northern, Western, and finally Central Uganda. The grand finale is scheduled for October 10 at Sheraton Kampala Hotel, where the new queen will be crowned and awarded a prize package from various sponsors.
Applications are now open to Ugandan women aged 18 to 26 who hold a valid National ID or passport and have completed at least A-Level education or its equivalent. With registration set at Shs50,000, the Road to the Crown 2026 is officially underway, opening the door for one young woman to begin a life-changing journey.
