- Jose Chameleone questioned why critics want him to choose Kololo Independence Grounds for his concert.
- He revealed that he booked Lugogo Cricket Oval as early as March and allowed other artists to have their concerts first.
- The singer told those who feel attending his concert would hurt them to stay home, saying he has many loyal fans, including some who buy tickets from abroad.
Music veteran Jose Chameleone has hit back at people criticizing his choice of venue for his upcoming concert, questioning why they insist that he should hold the show at Kololo Independence Grounds.

Chameleone is set to hold his concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval on December 4, but some people have reportedly questioned why he did not opt for the larger Kololo Independence Grounds.
Responding to the criticism, the singer reminded his critics that different artists have held successful concerts at different venues and questioned why they were trying to dictate his choice.
“Did Mowzey Radio have a concert at Kololo? Don’t give me your choices,” Chameleone said.

He went on to challenge those criticizing his venue choice to instead encourage their preferred artists to aim for international stadiums rather than telling him where to hold his concerts.
He also questioned why some artists only perform in what he described as remote areas of Uganda, mentioning Bukomansimbi, yet they are concerned about where he has chosen to stage his own concert.
According to him, the criticism is a sign that some people are not fully aware of what is happening in the country and should simply stay away from his concert if attending it would somehow hurt them.
“Please remain at home. And I’m not even bragging, I have so many people who love me, some of whom buy tickets from abroad,” he said.
Chameleone also revealed that his choice of date and venue was not a last-minute decision. He explained that he had booked Lugogo Cricket Oval as early as March but deliberately allowed other artists to have their concerts before taking his turn.
“I said instead of being selfish, let me first leave the rest to have their concerts and I will come last. That’s why I chose the 4th of December,” he explained.
The singer appears determined to make his December concert a major event, regardless of the criticism surrounding his choice of venue.
