Ugandan rapper Keko has opened up about her past relationship with singer Sheebah Karungi, confirming long-standing rumors that the two were romantically involved for nearly two years.

Speaking during an interview, Keko disclosed that she and Sheebah shared a relationship at a time when the latter was still trying to establish herself in Uganda’s music industry.

“The rumors were true. Sheebah and I dated for almost two years but it was Jeff Kiwa who broke us up,” Keko revealed.

According to Keko, the relationship faced challenges as Sheebah’s music career began taking shape under the guidance of talent manager Jeff Kiwa. At the time, Keko was already enjoying success in the entertainment industry while Sheebah was still searching for her breakthrough.

Keko explained that Jeff Kiwa allegedly convinced Sheebah to focus fully on her music career by promising to help her become a star.

“Jeff Kiwa told her that he would do everything in his power to make her a star and since she was desperate, she had to leave,” Keko said.

She added that the promise of a successful music career made it difficult for their relationship to survive, ultimately leading to their separation.
