Mugerwa Nicholas, popularly known as Kookie Promotions, is using his passion for motorcycles to create a positive impact through charity work across Uganda.

A journalist, vlogger, and active member of the Uganda Bikers Association, Mugerwa has combined his professional career and love for biking to support vulnerable communities, including schools, orphanages, and families in need.

Born on January 10, 1997, Mugerwa currently works as a journalist at Buganda Broadcasting Service (BBS Terefayina/BBS TV Uganda), while also running his digital platforms under the Kookie Promotions brand. Through his YouTube channel, blog, and social media pages, he shares stories, experiences, and initiatives aimed at inspiring positive change.

His involvement with the Uganda Bikers Association has seen him participate in community outreach activities alongside fellow riders, challenging common perceptions about bikers and highlighting their role in supporting society.

According to Robert Asiimwe, spokesperson for the Uganda Bikers Association, Mugerwa represents the values of compassion and service that the biking community continues to promote.

“His dedication to supporting communities reflects the true spirit of giving back. Through his efforts, he has shown that motorcycles can be used as a tool to bring people together and create meaningful change,” Asiimwe said.

Mugerwa’s nickname, Kookie Promotions, comes from his work in the promotion and media space, where he has built a reputation for creating engaging content and connecting with audiences through storytelling.

Speaking about his community work, Mugerwa said he believes everyone has a responsibility to contribute towards improving society.

“I believe everyone has a role to play in making our communities better. As bikers, people sometimes misunderstand us, but through our charity activities, we want to show that we care and are committed to helping others,” he said.
