Ugandan singer Spice Diana has revealed that she has never bought a phone for herself, saying she has always received the devices as gifts from fans and friends.

The singer was asked whether she was eagerly waiting to purchase the latest iPhone, but she explained that phones are not something she constantly worries about or feels the need to buy whenever a new model is released.

According to Spice Diana, most of the phones she has owned have been gifted to her, either as birthday presents or by fans who give her money while she performs on stage.

The singer, whose birthday falls in October, said the timing often works in her favour because new phones are usually released around that period.

“Since my birthday is in October, it usually comes when phones have just been released, so it is easier for fans to gift them to me,” she said.

Spice Diana also spoke about her appearance at Bad Black’s Beauty Beyond the Scars, where she said the testimonies shared by women left her emotional. The September 12 event brought together women to discuss difficult experiences, healing and empowerment.

She said some of the stories were tough to listen to and made her cry.

Spice Diana also introduced her brother at the event. Asked why she brought him into the limelight despite the criticism that often follows celebrities’ family members, she said he is an adult who should learn to handle his own battles.

She added that he is a talented content creator whom she has supported and groomed.
