Spyda MC has openly admitted that he is still struggling financially despite the success of his hit song Emikisa.

Speaking during a recent interview on Galaxy TV, the singer described his current situation as “just mild,” explaining that while music has brought him recognition, it hasn’t yet translated into the financial success he had hoped for.
“Music has given me visibility and put me out there. There are people who know me because of my music even though we’ve never met before. It has widened my spaces and how I’m able to position myself,” he said.
However, Spyda MC revealed that he has not been able to make meaningful income from his music. He explained that his expectations were much higher, and falling short of them has been disappointing.

“I thought my hit song Emikisa would create different opportunities for me, but it wasn’t appreciated enough in the corporate world. I’m surprised that fans only know that one song of mine,” he said.
The singer also disclosed that he has released more music since Emikisa, but many fans remain unaware of those songs.
“You find that these other songs are doing well on social media, but it’s different on the ground,” he added, highlighting the gap between online popularity and real-world commercial success.
