Musician Ziza Bafana has argued that genuine love is difficult to find when a relationship is built around wealth, warning women against believing that marrying a rich man automatically guarantees happiness and affection.

According to him, women who choose wealthy men primarily because of their financial status often end up disappointed, as the relationship may lack the genuine love and attention they expected.

“If you make good research you’ll realize that everyone who married for riches is no longer there and they’re so broke,” he said.

He further explained that it can be difficult for a young woman to convince a wealthy man that she genuinely loves him because he may always question her intentions.

“There’s nothing you’ll do to show a rich man that you love them genuinely because they’ll always think that you married them for their money,” Ziza said.

The musician also argued that wealthy men may struggle to give their partners enough time and attention because much of their focus is directed towards making more money.

“No rich person will give you time and attention because they’ll always give their time into making more money,” he said.

He noted that this can eventually leave a woman feeling emotionally neglected despite having all her material needs met.

“You’ll end up saying that the man gave you everything you needed but he didn’t love or give you any attention like you deserved,” he added.

Ziza also spoke about the expectations women have in relationships, arguing that women often want both love and attention without understanding that men may prioritize different aspects of their lives at different times.

He gave an example of a man who invests heavily in his partner, paying for her maintenance, clothes and other needs. According to Ziza, once the woman reaches a certain level of financial and social status, she may begin feeling independent and eventually look down on the man who supported her.

“Those other men may like how she looks because she’s been well taken care of but some of them don’t have good intentions. They’re here for a short time and to have fun,” he said.

Ziza concluded that some women may later describe men as bad or unfaithful, yet their own approach to relationships may have been centered more on wealth than genuine affection.
