Ugandan rapper Victor Kamenyo has advised fellow men against rushing into marriage before becoming financially stable, warning that poverty can bring suffering, heartbreak, and disrespect into relationships.

Openly discussing, Victor Kamenyo said men who are still struggling financially should avoid marriage until they are in a better position to provide and sustain a family.

“If you’re still broke, don’t marry and that’s a kind request,” he said.

According to the rapper, many marital problems stem from financial hardships, which he believes can lead to constant stress and even cause women to lose respect for their partners.

He further claimed that while some women may stay during difficult times, the relationship can quickly change when a financially stable man enters the picture.

“A broke man should know that he’s renting in marriage, if the landlord comes one day and needs his house, he will take it,” he cautioned.
