  • Zafar revealed that her YouTube channel remained with Swangz Avenue after her departure.
  • She said she is still allowed to perform the songs released during her time at the label.
  • The singer will now release new music independently under the name Zafar through a new YouTube channel.

Singer Zafar, formerly known as Zafaran, has opened up about one of the biggest changes following her departure from Swangz Avenue, revealing that she no longer owns the YouTube channel that carried her music during her time with the record label.

Speaking in an interview with Galaxy TV, the singer explained that although leaving the label comes with its challenges, she is choosing to focus on the lessons she gained throughout her time there.

“When someone teaches you how to fish rather than giving you fish, then they’ve given you something,” she said, adding that she learnt a lot from Swangz Avenue and intends to carry those experiences into the next chapter of her career.

Zafar disclosed that all the music released under her former stage name, Zafaran, remains on the label’s YouTube channel. As she embarks on her solo journey, any new music she releases under the name Zafar will instead be uploaded to a newly created YouTube channel bearing her new brand.

Despite the change in ownership of her digital platforms, the singer reassured fans that she is still free to perform the songs she recorded while signed to the label.

“I will sing all my songs and Zafaran is still available for bookings,” she said.

She also confirmed that she will now be working as an independent artist, promising fans that more music is on the way as she begins a fresh chapter outside Swangz Avenue.
