- The singer says another concert is possible, though it requires serious preparation.
Renowned Ugandan songstress Iryn Namubiru has assured her fans that new music is on the way, asking them to remain patient as she prepares to release a fresh body of work.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Spark TV, Namubiru revealed that she has an extended play (EP) album consisting of about six songs already completed. However, she explained that the project will only be released after the election period.
“I already have an EP ready with about six songs, but I cannot release music at such a busy time. After the elections, the music will come,” she said.
Namubiru also spoke about her most recent song, Jjaja, which she said was a tribute to grandmothers who quietly shoulder the responsibility of raising grandchildren while others go about their lives.

“When the world is busy having fun, it is the grandmothers who are left behind to look after what others have left. What is special is that their love never fades. They do it with so much care and gratitude,” she noted.
The Nkuweki singer also addressed a recent video that circulated on social media showing her three sons attempting to speak Luganda. Namubiru explained that her children have lived most of their lives in France, only visiting Uganda occasionally.
She said she has been intentionally teaching them Luganda and Ugandan history and expressed pride in their progress.
“They are trying, and I am happy they can speak a bit of Luganda and understand the history of my country and my roots in Buganda,” she said.
On the prospect of another concert, Namubiru noted that while her recent Serena Hotel concert was a huge success and sold out, concerts require careful planning and should not be rushed.
“A concert is not something you just bump into. It needs a lot of preparation. But I have not retired from music, so I cannot rule out another concert,” she added
