Ugandan singer and songwriter Mudra D Viral has left many of his fans disappointed after revealing that music was never his true passion and that he plans to quit once he becomes financially stable.

Speaking during an interview with Mr Henrie, the talented hitmaker opened up about the inner conflict he has long faced between his flourishing music career and his deep Islamic faith.
According to Mudra, he is a proud and staunch Muslim who fully understands that some parts of the music lifestyle — especially performing in bars and the culture surrounding nightlife — do not align with his religious beliefs.
Despite being one of Uganda’s most gifted singers and songwriters, Mudra admitted that he does not see himself staying in the industry for the long term.

He further explained that his faith has always made him question how long he can continue in a profession that often places him in environments he does not consider spiritually comfortable.
“I am a religious man and very proud of my Islamic faith. Some of the things that come with this profession are not convenient for my beliefs.”
This is not the first time Mudra has shared such thoughts. For a long time, he has openly spoken about the tension between his career and his values, making it clear that music may only be a temporary chapter in his life.
His latest remarks have now sparked concern among fans, many of whom say Uganda’s music industry would lose one of its most creative voices if he eventually walks away.
