- Zuena says she also lacked the energy for the emotional back-and-forth and unnecessary stunts in the music industry.
Zuena Kirema, wife to Ugandan singer Bebe Cool, has revealed why she never pursued a serious career in music despite briefly trying it out in the past.

While responding to fans during a TikTok Live who asked her to consider holding a concert, Zuena explained that her time in music was largely driven by boredom and curiosity rather than a serious ambition to become a musician.
“We were just bored and trying out new things back then,” she confessed, making it clear that music was never a path she personally intended to pursue long-term.
Zuena also opened up about the challenges that came with performing, admitting that she struggled to keep up with the vigorous stage performances required of artists.

She further pointed out how quickly fans can change their attitudes towards celebrities, saying she found it difficult to deal with the constant shift between praise and criticism.
“One day they’d be in love with you and the next they’re abusing you,” she explained.
Although Zuena said she has developed a thick skin over the years and does not allow criticism to affect her, she admitted that she did not have the energy to continuously deal with the emotional back-and-forth that comes with being in the public eye.
“I’m not really that emotional but I just didn’t have that energy to keep going back and forth with different people,” she said.
She also cited the pressure to participate in what she described as unnecessary stunts within the music industry as another reason she was not interested in continuing with music.
For Zuena, therefore, her brief stint in music was more of an experiment during a particular period of her life than the beginning of a career she ever intended to pursue seriously.
