Veteran Ugandan musician King Michael has expressed frustration over what he describes as a long-standing reluctance by promoters to work with him, despite his music enjoying popularity for many years.

Speaking during a recent press conference for his upcoming concert scheduled for August 1 at the Serena Hotel Kampala, King Michael revealed that he has struggled to find promoters willing to invest in his shows, a situation he says he cannot fully explain.
In a sit-down interview with Shalom 256 and Frank Ntambi, the singer said he had personally approached several prominent promoters seeking support for his concert plans, but most of them showed little interest.
“I’ve had songs like Kwata Kwata and Muko Muko that have had massive airplay for over a decade to date. I don’t see why no one would want to invest in me because my fans would come through,” he said.
