One of Western Uganda’s best musicians T Paul, has explained why he deliberately keeps his longtime partner away from the media spotlight.

The singer revealed that he has been in the relationship for about eight to nine years but has never felt the need to publicly parade his partner or make her a regular feature in his public life.

According to T Paul, protecting her privacy is a deliberate choice, especially because of the nature of the music industry and the attention that comes with it.

“The work we do as musicians is not always good for our partners to be in the limelight. It puts them in the line of fire.”

He explained that public exposure can sometimes give people information they could later exploit as a weakness against either the musician or their partner.

For T Paul, what matters most is that his partner knows she is loved and that their relationship remains stable.
