Eddy Kenzo has responded to claims by Bebe Cool that he left the Uganda National Musicians Federation due to a lack of transparency in its finance department.

Speaking out to Sanyuka TV on the matter, Kenzo dismissed Bebe Cool’s allegations, arguing that the singer’s real issue was his desire to be in charge of every institution he joins.

According to Kenzo, Bebe Cool initially showed interest in serving in the federation’s finance department because he believed he would have significant control over the organization’s financial operations. However, he later discovered that all federation funds were subject to strict accountability procedures.

“Even going into the finance department of the federation was because he thought he’d be in charge of everything, not knowing that all finances had to be accounted for,” Kenzo said.

The UNMF president further suggested that Bebe Cool struggles to operate in environments where he is not the ultimate decision-maker.

Kenzo emphasized that effective leadership also requires the ability to be guided by others, noting that those who cannot be led often find it difficult to lead successfully.

He went on to claim that Bebe Cool may have expected unrestricted access to the federation’s finances, only to realize that financial management within the organization follows established accountability systems rather than being controlled by a single individual.
