Veteran media personality Faridah Nakazibwe has revealed that leaving NTV Uganda was one of the most difficult decisions she has ever made, describing the station as a brand she helped build from the ground up.

Speaking about her journey, Faridah disclosed that she and several other pioneers who joined the television station in its early days were deeply invested in its growth and success. According to her, the bond they developed with the brand made it emotionally challenging to walk away.
“We started the brand NTV together as a team from the word go. It was so hard to say goodbye because they had trained us and taught us a lot of things,” she shared.
Faridah explained that her attachment to the station went beyond employment, noting that NTV had become such a significant part of her life that she often felt compelled to defend and protect the brand whenever necessary.

The celebrated broadcaster added that convincing herself to move on was not easy, despite knowing it was the right step at that stage of her career.
“Waking up one day and saying I’m leaving was such a hard decision, plus convincing myself that it was okay and the right thing to do at that point,” she said.
In a surprising revelation, Faridah disclosed that a number of staff members who were part of the station’s founding team hold shares in the company and possess shareholder certificates.
“We all have shares, however I haven’t gotten mine,” she joked.
