Popular Ugandan socialite and entrepreneur Mamideb, real name Deborah Nantongo Cleave, has given her followers a glimpse into her growing business world, showcasing her property investment in Upper Kololo, her long-running Boujee brand and the expanding Sage Farm, which she owns with her husband, Michael Cleave.

According to Mamideb, business is about more than simply earning money — it is about growing what she already has.

“One thing I love to do is make money. Whatever I’ve earned or my husband has given me, I’ve multiplied.”

She began her tour at an apartment development in Upper Kololo, a property she said her husband gifted her about a year ago.

Mamideb praised the developers, noting that they were also behind the penthouse the couple previously purchased.

“One thing about them, they keep their deadlines, they keep their word and everything they do is quality.”

Although the apartment is still under construction, Mamideb said it is being designed with the kind of features she has always wanted, including a swimming pool, home gym, child-friendly spaces and security.

The three-bedroom apartment will also feature en-suite bathrooms, an open-plan layout, a spacious living area, balcony views of the pool and a master bedroom with a walk-in closet.

She revealed that she expects the apartment to generate between $5,000 to $8,000 in monthly rent, preferably from a long-term tenant.

“I hope my first tenant is actually watching this. They’ll be renting this for $5,000 to $8,000 per month. Hopefully long term.”

From property, Mamideb turned her attention to Boujee, a brand she describes as one of her longest-running business ventures.

“Bougie has been my baby for the longest time. It was actually my second business in Uganda. I’ve had the Bougie brand for nine years.”

She also announced that the latest Boujee catalogue is now available for customers.

Her tour then moved to Sage Farm, the poultry business she owns with her husband, Michael Cleave.

Mamideb said Michael currently runs the farm, although she enjoys spending time there whenever her schedule allows. The farm is now preparing to enter the wholesale egg market.

The poultry operation has continued to expand, with each farmhouse currently holding about 100,000 birds. She said another batch of birds is also expected to arrive soon.

“As of a week ago, we moved the birds from the brooder to the main houses. So each farmhouse has 100,000 birds.”

Mamideb also credited her husband for the progress at the farm, including fulfilling one of her personal wishes — building an outdoor fire pit.

“He even fulfilled his promise of building me an amazing fire pit. He knows I love a good fire pit.”

With the property gradually becoming more than just a farm, Mamideb said it is starting to feel like a country home for the couple.

“This is kind of turning into like a lovely country home for us.”

She ended the tour by praising her husband for his work and expressing optimism about their future investments.

“I’m truly proud of you, darling. The best is truly yet to come.”
