- MC Kats accuses Bobi Wine of neglecting Master Parrot’s vigil
- Claims Firebase did not provide basic support like food and water
- Remarks spark backlash and renewed debate on loyalty and support in entertainment circles
TV host and events MC Kats, born Edwin Katamba, has launched a fresh attack on singer-turned-politician Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine, over the handling of late former Firebase Crew member Master Parrot’s vigil.

Master Parrot, a former member of the early Firebase Crew, died this week following a road accident. His passing has stirred emotional reactions online and revived discussions about how former associates are supported within Uganda’s entertainment circles.
While Bobi Wine shared a tribute to the late musician on X (formerly Twitter), MC Kats questioned the level of practical support extended by Firebase during the mourning period. He specifically accused the camp of failing to provide basic necessities at the vigil having ignored him to languish in misery when he was still alive.
According to Kats, even simple items such as food and water were not provided, which he described as unacceptable given Bobi Wine’s influence and resources.

The statement quickly went viral, drawing mixed reactions from the public. Supporters of Bobi Wine and the National Unity Platform (NUP) pushed back, accusing MC Kats of politicizing a sensitive moment and disrespecting the mourning process.
This is not the first time MC Kats has publicly clashed with Bobi Wine, with previous exchanges between the two often spilling onto social media and fueling wider debates about loyalty, charity, and responsibility among public figures.
The controversy has since become a trending topic, with many Ugandans divided over expectations placed on celebrities during moments of grief and whether public figures should be held accountable for support extended to former colleagues.
