Ugandan musician Pretty Banks has revealed that she has no problem with socialite and influencer Prima Kardashi, despite previously being on the receiving end of criticism from her.

Prima has in the past made strong remarks about several musicians, with Pretty Banks once becoming a target after the socialite criticised one of her hairstyles, describing it negatively.

However, appearing on Sanyuka TV, Pretty Banks said she holds no grudge against Prima and actually likes her.

The singer explained that artists cannot control what other people say about them and said she chose to take Prima’s criticism positively.

Pretty Banks also revealed the reason behind the hairstyle that attracted criticism. She said she had been experiencing skin problems at the time and had an upcoming press conference, so she decided to use the hairstyle to disguise the skin reaction.

“You cannot control what people say about you. I have no problem with Prima; I actually like her,” Pretty Banks said.

She acknowledged that the hairstyle did not turn out as she had hoped but said criticism is part of being in the entertainment industry.

According to the singer, anyone entering the music industry should not expect to be loved by everyone or receive positive comments all the time.

“When you enter this industry, you cannot expect everyone to love you or speak positively about you. Criticism will always be there; what matters is how you handle it,” she said.

Meanwhile, Pretty Banks also addressed allegations that she is romantically involved with fellow musician Acidic Vokoz.

The singer denied the claims, explaining that the two are simply close friends. She said Acidic Vokoz is among the people she became well acquainted with after entering the music industry.

Pretty Banks maintained that their friendship should not be mistaken for a romantic relationship.
