Musician and rapper Recho Rey has named Ray G’s concert as the most successful in Uganda this year, saying the Western Uganda singer delivered an outstanding show that stood out from the rest.

Speaking to Galaxy FM, Recho Rey said Ray G’s concert was, in her view, the biggest and most successful among the concerts held so far, although the year is not yet over.
“Without discrediting anyone, because Vinka and King Saha also had successful concerts, Ray G’s was the most successful,” she said.
She added that the numbers spoke for themselves, giving the Oweishe singer credit for pulling off what she considers the concert of the year.

Ray G’s show attracted thousands of revelers who filled the airstrip, while King Saha also drew a huge crowd at his concert days later. However, Recho Rey maintained that Ray G’s performance and attendance placed him ahead of the competition.
She said she was giving the singer his flowers for the achievement.
Meanwhile, Recho Rey also weighed in on TikToker Zayra Baby’s recent claims that she had not been paid after working with a musician with whom she released a song.
Recho Rey said she had listened to the entire interview but did not hear Zayra Baby mention her name. She also explained that TikTokers participating in music challenges should be paid upfront for their work.
The rapper further praised Fik Fameica, Pretty Banks and Mimi Kampala, among others, for their work in the music industry.
On allegations of witchcraft in the music industry, Recho Rey said she protects herself through personal spiritual practices, including prayer and meditation. She believes these practices help her remain unaffected by such claims.
With more concerts still possible before the end of the year, the race for Uganda’s standout musical show remains open, but Ray G has received a strong endorsement from Recho Rey.
