Media personality Sheilah Gashumba shared her stance on relationships during a TikTok Live session with her friend Sheena Holms.

When asked whether she would date a financially struggling man, Sheilah didn’t hesitate. She made it clear that it’s not something she’s open to—now or in the future.

“I can’t date a broke man in this era that I’m in, not even in the next life,” she said.

She went on to explain that, in her view, financial stability plays a big role in respect within a relationship.

According to her, while respect might exist at the beginning, it can fade over time if a partner isn’t able to provide or contribute meaningfully.

“You could respect him at first but with time you find it so hard… especially when you can take care of most things by yourself.”

She emphasized that she believes a man should be financially established, hardworking, and have his life in order.
