Former Big Talent musician Tip Swizzy has opened up about his departure from Eddy Kenzo’s music group, shedding light on what appears to have been a difficult separation between the two former close associates.

The two musicians were once almost inseparable, becoming some of the most recognisable faces of Big Talent Entertainment when the group was making its mark on Uganda’s music scene. However, their relationship eventually fell apart, with their departure from working together seemingly leaving fans divided.

Speaking in an interview with Sanyuka TV, Tip Swizzy explained that there were several reasons behind his decision to leave the group. He noted that fans had become so accustomed to seeing them work together that their separation created different camps, with supporters seemingly taking sides.

According to Tip, he was still young when he started working with Kenzo and lacked the experience and ambitions he has today. He suggested that this may have created room for Kenzo to take advantage of his situation at the time.

Despite the differences, Tip maintained that he has no interest in speaking negatively about his former boss, acknowledging the lessons he picked up during their time together.

“I don’t like bad energy. I learned a lot of good things from him, and even from the bad experiences, I managed to learn something positive,” Tip Swizzy said.

Asked whether there was a possibility of reuniting musically with Kenzo, the singer was not optimistic.

“It would be very, very hard,” he responded, explaining that Kenzo understands the reasons behind his position.

Tip further revealed that he is not particularly inspired by Kenzo’s approach to life, adding that his own motivation is different. While Kenzo’s lifestyle and pursuit of wealth may inspire others, Tip said that accumulating lots of money is not necessarily what drives him.
