After more than two decades together, Ugandan music star Bebe Cool has revealed that he will finally hold a public wedding celebration with his longtime partner Zuena Kirema next year.

The couple, who officially tied the knot in a private civil ceremony on September 12, 2003, at Crane Chambers, have never hosted a public wedding for fans and well-wishers to witness. However, that is about to change.

Speaking during an appearance on the Vybe Life UG YouTube podcast, the Gagamel Crew boss confirmed that plans are now firmly in place.

“I am 100% sure it is next year. I am 100 and 20 percent sure. I had other things I wanted to achieve and I have achieved them,” Bebe Cool stated confidently.

The singer explained that the upcoming event will not be a traditional wedding in the legal sense, but rather a grand celebration of their long-standing union—one that has stood the test of time in an industry often marked by short-lived relationships.

Bebe Cool also reflected on modern relationships, questioning why many couples who rush into weddings tend to separate sooner compared to those who take their time.

“It is because of the pressure they put on themselves to get wedded,” he said. “They end up putting someone in a situation where they would have first achieved some things. When you grow together, you make more sense—not with certificates, but with real love.”

According to him, their journey offers an example that others can learn from—prioritizing growth, patience, and genuine connection over societal pressure.

The planned celebration will be particularly special, as it will coincide with major personal milestones. Bebe Cool will be turning 50 years old, while the couple will also be marking 25 years together.

“We shall be celebrating 25 years together,” he added.
