Kapeke was recently hosted on Galaxy FM’s Rewind show, where he shared his thoughts on how his earnings compare to those of artists from previous generations.

He revealed that today, he is able to make money through digital platforms like YouTube and streaming services—even without performing—something that wasn’t possible for artists in the past.
“Kadongo Kamu artists used to sing really well, and we give credit where it’s due. However, times have changed, and now we use more of our brains than just talent,” he said.
Kapeke also disclosed that he earns over 20 million shillings from YouTube and streaming platforms alone. He emphasized that he manages this independently, attributing it to being part of Gen Z and staying in tune with trends and what the current audience demands.

“I’m able to make about 10 million shillings from my YouTube channel and also another 10 million from streaming platforms all in the comfort of my home,” he explained.
He further expressed appreciation for the internet and the rise of streaming platforms, noting that they have played a major role in helping artists expand their reach beyond borders.
