Western Uganda rapper Truth256 has come out in defense of fellow musician Ray G, dismissing claims that the Oweishe singer is arrogant, difficult to work with, and full of himself.

Speaking during Ray G’s press conference ahead of his upcoming concert at Kololo Independence Grounds, Truth256 said people often form different opinions about individuals based on their personal experiences.

“Everyone has their own perspective about someone. Some people mistake principles for pride, but the Ray G I know is humble, family-oriented, and a brother who has always been there for me,” Truth256 said.

The rapper explained that while Ray G is known for standing firm on certain matters, this should not be interpreted as arrogance. Instead, he described him as a disciplined and focused artist who remains committed to his craft and values.

Truth256 also dismissed reports suggesting that musicians from Western Uganda do not enjoy a healthy working relationship. According to him, the unity displayed during Ray G’s press conference proved otherwise.

“The support shown by artists from Western Uganda speaks for itself. If there were issues among us, we wouldn’t all be here supporting Ray G,” he said.

Among those present was Omega256, who has previously had public disagreements with Ray G, a development that further highlighted the growing unity among artists from the region.

Meanwhile, Ray G said he chose Kololo Independence Grounds for his August 7 concert because it offers a larger venue and a more organized setting for fans. He noted that his previous concert at Kakyeka faced challenges, including overcrowding and rain disruptions.

The self-styled “King of Western Uganda” expressed confidence that the Kololo show will deliver a better experience for revelers. The concert comes after his successful and sold-out mega concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval in 2024, raising anticipation among fans eager to witness his next milestone performance.
